Seattle Fruit & Flowers CSA for Food Sovereignty x Youth Programs Fundraiser

In Seattle, Friendly Hmong Farms is partnering with:

to bring you fruit from:

  • Regino’s Farm

  • Avina’s Garden

  • Lupillo Orchards

as well as flowers from our local Hmong flower farmers. We would like to offer you the opportunity to participate in community supported agriculture (CSA) and food sovereignty by preordering fruit and flowers for pickup or delivery on June 15th, July 13th, and August 17th.

Step 1: Select what type of fruit or bouquets you’d like, the date of pickup, and the quanitities, then add to your cart.

Step 2: Then select your neighborhood pickup site OR select delivery. Our farmers and youth will participate in harvesting and delivering your fruit and flowers to the pickup site where you will come get them at a designated 2-hour window of time in:

  • Ballard

  • Central District

  • Northgate

  • Rainier Beach

  • Ravenna

  • White Center

Our volunteers and the youth will be there to check you in! If you opt for delivery, we will arrange for delivery of your bouquet(s) within the Seattle city limits for $29 per address per delivery. You could also opt to donate your produce!

Step 3: We will email you a reminder the week and evening prior (make sure you type in your email address correctly!) Your produce will be await you at the pick up site. Or, if you opted for delivery, our driver will text when they are about en route to your place. They will knock and/or ring, leave your produce at your front door and text you a photo (be sure to type in your cell phone correctly!)

Here is the breakdown of how proceeds shall be shared:

Bouquets - $29 (Farmer will recieve $20, youth programs shall receive $5, and FHF will receive $4)

Strawberries half-flat $29 (Farmer will receive $20, youth programs shall receive $5, and FHF will recieve $4)

Bing Cherries 5-pound $39 (Farmer will receive $25, youth programs shall receive $10, and FHF will recieve $4)

Rainier Cherries 5-pound $49/lb (Farmer will receive $35, youth programs will receive $10, and FHF will recieve $4)

All fruit purchased will be matched pound for pound, and distributed for free to essential and frontline workers; Black, Indigenous, and People of Color; and other vulnerable communities.

NOTE: All purchases are non-refundable. If you miss pick up, and have not made alternate arrangements with us prior, your items will be included in our periodic donation to essential or frontline workers, elders, or non-profits/mutual aid organizations serving BIPOC communities.
